We've been hired to repair an installation which has an NVR running Digifort Standard v6.01 v21/11/2008 on XP Pro SP3.  Remote access w/ ie v6 after we install plugins gives the error "Server: Your client version is not compatible with the server" Looking at page source code the OCX is v6.0.0.0.  the actual .OCX file is v6.01

IE v6 locally on the NVR at http://127.0.0.1:8083 works fine and also the page source shows OCX v6.0.0.0.

We have forwarded ports 8083 and 8600 and disable windows firewall

Any help would be appreciated.

You need to register the correct OCX file.

This happens if you have a newer OCX control already registered in your computer.

Delete your OCX control, and revisit the Digifort NVR Web Browser (port 8083) again and it should prompt you to install its OCX control.

Or seriously consider upgrading to Digifort 6.3 downloadable from the web site.
Note: you will have to upgrade every client pc as well.

The OCX's were in C:\Program Files\Digifort\Digifort Standard 6 folder. here's what happens on page entry:

On page entry we get this dialog:

We click Install, then get the following screen

Surveillance

var serverIP = window.location.host; document.write('< id=":3867152B-383F-47C6-9628-91C8B013A54E" code="XDigiLive.OCX#6,0,0,0" width=780 height=600 align=center =0 =0>'); document.write(' < name="Connection" value="NA:,AD:'+IP+',PO:8600,US:YWRtaW4=,PW:MTIzNA==,CM:2;">'); document.write(' < name="" value="2">'); document.write(' Warning! We have enabled "Download unsigned Activex controle" in ie, but the OCX does not initi8ally install. These client machines are XP SP3 with no security SW other than AVG.

Maybe we are missing a security setting in IE?

You must not install the plugin using Internet explorer security warning, you should click on the link on the webpage, it will download Pluins.exe and will install the correct plugins into your computer

First, thank you guys for your advice so far, but nothing seems to be working.  We're getting the same results from 2 XP machines and 1 Win7 machine. I'm hoping you can take a few minutes and try to access this dvr yourselves so I can verify that the server is functioning properly.  I'll PM access instructions to you.

Here are Screenshots to clarify what we're seeing:

==================  SERVER SCREEN SHOTS ===================
SERVER STATUS (Server Local IP is 192.168.1.120)

SERVER PORT

ROUTER PORT FORWARDING (Server Local IP is 192.168.1.120)

SERVER - DIGIFORT STANDARD CLIENT 6.01 RUNNING ON SERVER

SERVER - IE RUNNING CLIENT ON SERVER

==================  REMOTE CLIENT SCREEN SHOTS ===================

REMOTE - IE RUNNING OVER INTERNET

REMOTE -  ACTIVEX CONTROLS ON REMOTE CLIENT PC

REMOTE - DIGIFORT STANDARD 6.01 CLIENT RUNNING OVER INTERNET

Go to the above folder "c:\program files\digifort\digifort standard 6" in COMMAND PROMPT.

Type:  regsvr32 XdigiLive.ocx && regsvr32 XDigiPlayback.ocx (in command prompt)

That should fix it..

Here's what I found:

Sizes of OCX's on the server:
XDigiLive.ocx 4.416mB
XDigiPlayback.ocx 5.107mB

Sizes of OCX's installed onto clients by Plugins.exe:
XDigiLive.ocx 4.328mB
XDigiPlayback.ocx 5.081mB

Although all of these files show version 6.01 in properties, only the ones from the server are the correct version. Copying and registering the OCX's from the server onto the client works. Therefore there is a problem with the Plugins.exe version on the server.

I downloaded and installed 6.01 from digifort.com on another pc. This Plugins.exe is the exactly the same as what is on the server.  There is obviously a problem with the server installation.

So, I created a new Plugins.exe installer for now.  I'll see if I can get permission to to upgrade the server to 6.3.

Hi guys ~

I had same problem in Digifort 6.4.0.0
The problem like foxrick said

Test Version : 6.4.0.0 Beta5 & 6.4.0.0 Beta9
I used 2 NB & 1 PC to login Digifort NVR Server ( First time / it`s a clean OS )
The IE popup wrong message "Your client version is not compatible with the server"
Then, we used solution like Dario said
"regsvr32 XdigiLive.ocx && regsvr32 XDigiPlayback.ocx"
> it`s work !! but we have new problems
> because we just can view MPEG4 format video,
   can`t view MJPEG format video !!??

※ Do we need regsvr more OCX ?
